Maryland improved to 9-1 with 77-56 win over Maryland Eastern Shore at the XFINITY Center on Saturday night.
All-American point guard Melo Trimble leading the 6th ranked Terps with 18 points. Following a sluggish first half, coach Mark Turgeon opened with a 1-3-1 press and Maryland went on a 27-11 run to put the game away. Rasheed Sulaimon who is proving to be an invaluable option as a playmaker dished out a career high ten assists, while freshman sensation Diamond Stone chipped in a dozen and pulled down six rebounds.
The Terrapins only have two more games before conference play commences, Saturday against Princeton at the Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore and Sunday the 27th against Marshall, back at the XFINITY Center. B1G play begins against Penn State in College Park on December 30th.
